You're right. The blogger formatting sucks for displaying the web page. But I took a look at your list, and then I thought about it for a little bit. I think your list is important. Why? First of all, it's huge. I know (more accurately, "knew of") starving bands and underpaid musicians that would have killed to play all those canceled gigs, and get paid for them. Not to mention, "Me, too, as the soundman." (My bands never had an "outside" manager.) I could tell you plenty of starving-band stories from the lack of gigs that paid enough. I've never told any of them here. It gets really, really, really ugly on the road sometimes. (We had a couple of vehicle breakdowns and some problems on one tour. We skipped several meals and starved to get by without enough money. We didn't have credit cards in the mid 1970s.) Data Metrics, Master Lists, and Databases Once we have the data metrics from all the (other) bands entered into our database(s) someday, and when we've compared the data metrics, we will find the Grateful Dead are number one across the board. It's not even close for second place and the rest of the pack. The Grateful Dead were and are a one-off! Jerry Garcia was the man. What lists do we need to begin with? Some of these could be combined lists using color coded formatting schemes, for example. Items on these lists should be hyperlinked to their respective media content (or other PDF's, other texts, etc.) Firstly a) all the shows GD played b) all the shows GD played that were taped or recorded c) all the shows with Soundboard tape as the only source d) all the shows with Audience tape as the only source e) all the shows that have been matrixed f) all the shows GD played that were photographed g) all the shows GD played that were videotaped or filmed (h) all the shows GD played with venues 25,000 - 50,000 (i) all the shows GD played with venues 50,000 - 100,000 (j) all the shows GD played with venues 100,000 or above. (k) all the shows GD played with venues charging $15 or less (l) all the shows GD played with venues charging $25 or more (m) all the shows GD played, listed by the tracks total running time (length of show) Secondly a) all the free shows GD played b) all the benefit shows GD played Thirdly JGB and OAITW lists. Fourthly Canceled gigs list (reformatted).
